Re-entry Permit and Advance Parole
Service fee: $300

Re-entry permit: If you are a permanent resident of the United States and you plan to stay outside the country for more than a year, but you don't want to lose your green card, you need to obtain a re-entry permit. This permit will allow you to enter the U.S. without any issues and resume your permanent resident status. If you require help in applying for a re-entry permit, please contact us. We will provide you with all the necessary information in detail to guide you through the process. For more details, click on Don't Lose Your Green Card Due to Long Absence from the U.S.

Advance parole: If you would like to leave the U.S. for a short visit, but your immigration case is still pending (no decision has yet been reached on your adjustment of status), you need to obtain advance parole that will allow you to return to the U.S.

Returning resident (SB-1) immigrant visa: If you are a lawful permanent resident (LPR) or conditional resident (CR) and are unable to return to the United States within the validity period of your green card (1 year) or the validity period of your re-entry permit (2 years), you will need a new immigrant visa to enter the United States and resume your permanent residence. These approvals are discretionary, which means they are basically doing you a favor and can always say no.

To begin the process, please email us the documents listed below and we'll contact you to confirm receipt of your email. Please note that any documents that are not in English will need to be translated. We will process your application as soon as we receive it and within a few days you will have your case fully prepared.
